Terms of Use
1. About the service
Bharat School Ride, operated by Vidhilekha Lab LLP, is a parent-first school transport safety platform: existing school vans and buses are upgraded toward US/EU school-vehicle safety standards, drivers are verified and trained, and parents receive live tracking and WhatsApp alerts for every ride. The service is currently in an invite-only early-access phase; joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, a route, or a launch date in your area.
2. The free upgrade offer
Where offered, the free vehicle upgrade and driver training apply to eligible vehicles and drivers on routes where Bharat School Ride launches, after physical inspection and verification. The offer is limited in time and capacity, may vary by route, and may be modified or withdrawn; whatever is committed to a specific vehicle in writing will be honoured.
3. Users of the service
- Parents register their children, keep contact details current, and receive ride notifications.
- Drivers and vehicle owners must pass verification (licence, background, vehicle fitness), complete training, and keep safety equipment functional.
- Schools and societies that partner with us must obtain parental consent for children's data and use the platform only for school-transport safety.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- access data about children who are not your own, or attempt to;
- submit false information or trigger false emergency alerts;
- interfere with tracking devices, driver apps, or safety equipment;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or probe the platform's security;
- use the platform for anything other than school-transport safety.
5. Safety disclaimer
Bharat School Ride is a supplementary safety layer. It does not replace adult supervision, school responsibility, or the driver's duty of care, and it cannot guarantee delivery of any individual alert (which depends on networks, devices, and third-party services such as WhatsApp). Do not rely on it as the sole safety measure for your child.
6. Intellectual property
The platform, brand, and all materials on this site belong to Vidhilekha Lab LLP. Parents and schools retain ownership of the data they enter about their own children.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by Indian law, our total aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the fees paid by that user for the service in the three months preceding the claim. The waitlist and this website are provided free of charge, as-is.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, endanger children, or compromise the platform. You may leave the service at any time; see Delete Account for how your data is handled.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
10. Changes to these terms
We will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes — on this website and, once the service is live, by WhatsApp or in-app notification.
